Hey, thanks for checking out my work!
I'm a front-end developer in Denver, CO. Way before that, I was a kid obsessed with comics and graphic novels. This early love of visual storytelling sparked a lifelong quest to pair great graphics with story beats.
In college, I studied in an interdisciplinary design program with lots of coding. Working feverishly into the night on projects for classes called "Sound" and "Object", I learned that I really enjoyed using computers to create a set of visuals that reinforce a narrative. Naturally, I started to play with the idea of designing interactions to back those visuals up, and building those interactions in websites and game engines.
Since college, I've worked as a geospatial software developer on consultant teams at Esri. Here, I've learned how to start out with a shifting web of customer requirements and end up with a great data visualization result-- usually in the form of a website full of charts and maps. The kid reading Calvin and Hobbes for the 5000th time probably wouldn't get the adult who loves picking out fonts and digging through API references, but I feel very close to her in my daily work of designing and building visuals that make narratives come to life.
