Project Overview
'Fortune Aglow' is a touching story about magical tattoo artists, a lineage of headstrong women, and not-so-glamorous self-actualization. Set in a fantastical VR world with lavish 3D "VR painting" landscapes and comics that swirl around your head in 360 degrees, featuring original animations and playful interactions, it is my most ambitious immersive storytelling project to date. 
Together with my co-director and senior capstone partner Emily Gould, I have been working hard to develop and produce this concept since April 2020. By December, it will be an interactive fiction experience nearly 40 minutes long, with nine distinctly stylized scenes. 
During this time, Emily and I have written an original twenty-page script, spent countless hours brainstorming and refining our design concepts, assembled and coordinated a team of students in our major to assist us with production tasks and sound design, and made significant progress towards the final production. In addition to this work, I am responsible for coding our project in C# with the game engine Unity and producing 3D animated scenes in Oculus Quill.
